The Chinese national wood pulp market produced 10.5 million tons, an increase of 4.48%

It is classified according to pulping materials, pulping methods and pulp uses, such as kraft softwood pulp, mechanical wood pulp, refined wood pulp, etc. Wood pulp is mainly used, accounting for more than 90% of the pulp volume. Wood pulp is not only used in papermaking, but also widely used in other industrial sectors. Therefore, for pulp with a large proportion of latewood, in medium beating, especially in viscous beating, it should be beating with a lower specific pressure and a higher concentration, and the method of successively dropping the knives or successively reducing the knife spacing should be used for beating.

In the context of the slowdown in demand for cultural paper, the growth in demand for household paper can effectively stimulate the consumption of wood pulp market. In a horizontal comparison, the per capita consumption of household paper in my country is only 6kg/person-year, which is far lower than that of developed countries. In the context of the slowdown in the demand for cultural paper in my country, the demand for household paper is expected to become a new growth driver for pulp demand.

According to customs data, in the first seven months of this year, Manzhouli port imported 299,000 tons of pulp, an increase of 11.6% year-on-year; the value was 1.36 billion, an increase of 43.8% year-on-year. It is worth mentioning that in July this year, the imported pulp at Manzhouli port was 34,000 tons, an increase of 8% year-on-year; the value was 190 million, an increase of 63.5% year-on-year. In the first seven months of this year, China's most mainland port - Manzhouli port, the import value of pulp exceeded 1.3 billion. This is related to the large increase in domestic wood pulp market demand in the first half of this year, which has led to an increase in imports.

In the earlywood and latewood pulp, the ratio of earlywood and latewood is different, and the pulping quality is also different when the same beating conditions are used for beating. The latewood fiber is long, the cell wall is thick and hard, and the birth wall is not easily damaged. During beating, the fibers are easily cut off, and it is difficult to absorb water and swell and become finely fibrillated.

China is one of the largest consumers of wood pulp, and it cannot effectively achieve self-sufficiency of pulp raw materials due to the lack of forest resources. Wood pulp mainly depends on imports. In 2020, wood pulp imports accounted for 63.2%, down 1.5 percentage points from 2019.

From the regional distribution of my country's wood pulp industry, the forest resources in East China and South China are widely distributed, and my country's wood pulp production capacity is mainly distributed in East China and South China. Data show that the sum of South China and East China accounts for more than 90% of my country's wood pulp production capacity. my country's forest land resources are limited. Affected by measures such as environmental protection, there are a large number of wasteland in the north that have not yet been opened, which may become the key to the development of artificial forests in the future.

The output of my country's wood pulp industry has grown rapidly, and the growth rate has accelerated since 2015. According to data, my country's wood pulp output will reach 1,490 in 2020, an increase of 17.5% over 2019.

Judging from the overall proportion of wood pulp in the pulp industry, my country's wood pulp output has increased year by year in the overall proportion of pulp, reaching 20.2% by 2020. Non-wood pulp (mainly including reed pulp, cane syrup, bamboo pulp, rice and wheat straw pulp, etc.) accounted for 7.1%, while the output of waste paper pulp increased rapidly, accounting for 72.7% in 2020, as the main pulp source.

According to the survey data of China Paper Association, the total pulp production in the country was 79.49 million tons, an increase of 0.30%. Among them: 10.5 million tons of wood pulp industry, an increase of 4.48%; 63.02 million tons of waste paper pulp; 5.97 million tons of non-wood pulp, an increase of 1.02%. Hardwood pulp should be beaten with a lower beating specific pressure and a higher beating concentration. The fibers of softwood pulp are long, generally 2-3.5 mm. When producing cement bag paper, it is not advisable to cut too many fibers. , in order to meet the evenness requirements of the paper, it needs to be cut to 0.8-1.5 mm. Therefore, in the beating process, the beating process conditions can be determined according to the requirements of the paper type.
